Things to do in Arden-Arcade, US

Terrible city planning if you ask me (oh wait, we aren't in a "city" since it's not part of the Sacramento city limits- A-A is unincorporated Sacramento County- county bumpkins in the middle of a metro area- go figure ) Arden-Arcade was I'm sure once the "happening" suburb of Sacramento, say in the 1960s and 70s.

There's some debate over how many neighborhoods make up the Arden Arcade area. Some say 29, although an online neighborhood map shows 33. Donald Stitt, area resident and Coldwell Banker broker-Realtor, has a Sacramento County map that outlines 36 neighborhoods in Arden Arcade, including one with his favorite name, Dunmovin.

Crabtree Park Windsor Drive & Ardenridge Drive, Sacramento 95864 Crabtree Park features a youth baseball field which is home to the District’s Arden Arcade Youth Baseball League, covered picnic areas, a walking path, basketball, and two playgrounds.

Deterding Park is home to the District Office, Community Center, and Aquatics Complex. The park also features picnic tables, a synthetic turf soccer field, two playgrounds, and an outdoor stage area.

Eastern Oak Park is a favorite in my family. It is fenced in on three sides and tucked safely back from the main road (Eastern Ave.) Tennis courts, play structures, a giant sand box, and horse shoes & shuffle board areas are all available.

Howe Park is a nice park overall. The grounds are very well maintained and it is really clean. The bathrooms aren't, but what park has a clean bathroom? I've been coming to Howe Park since I was a little girl when we would come visit family in Sac , way before I moved up here. We bring our kids here to play every so often since we live close by.

The Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail (or American River Bike Trail) is a paved multi-use pathway that runs between the confluence of the Sacramento River with the American River, just north of downtown Sacramento, CA, and Beal's Point at Folsom Lake, north of Folsom, CA.

Jonas Avenue & Larkspur Lane, Sacramento 95864. Jonas Larkspur Park features a baseball/softball field, soccer field, playground, tennis court, and picnic area. The park also contains a nature area with walking path and picnic tables.

10 reviews of Seely Park "First time taking the kids to anything like this. They loved it. It was packed with families & a couple parties. I parked on the opposite side of the park since it was packed.

The real star here is the "splash park" which has a nice little area where kids can run around in fountains of water, spray each other with water cannons, or dump large buckets of water on each other.
