Having carried between 10-15 kg each on our backs the whole way, our muscles were in much need of some relaxation. Luckily Altyn Arashan is known for its natural hot springs. We set up our tent near Arashan Travel Hotel (not really a hotel, just a run-down house) and rented our own private hot spring hut.

The Frunze House Museum was the first proper museum in Bishkek, opening in 1925 to document the life and accomplishments of Mikhail Frunze. Mikhail Vasilevich Frunze was born on February 2, 1885, in what was then called Pishpek.
Admire the impressive statue of the national icon at Monument to Manas the Great, a centrally located monument in Ala-Too Square. Erected in 2011 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the nation's independence, the statue portrays the main protagonist of a national epic written in an 18th-century Persian manuscript.

After a New Year's Evening demonstration in Oak Park, Ivanitsyn and his group "arrested" the entire regimental command and freed all the prisoners in the jail.
Oak Park, Bishkek Oak Park is one of Bishkek’s oldest parks, and is home to an open air sculpture exhibition, as well as several important monuments and buildings. Even though the park was officially renamed in honor of Chingiz Aitmatov in 2010, it is still mostly known as Oak Park.
I’m also shocked by the amount of construction happening across Bishkek. It seems that every day ground is broken for a new building. Everyone is very optimistic for the future of their country, I’m very excited to see it grow and develop. — What reminds you of your hometown in Bishkek? — The landscape in Colorado is very similar to Bishkek. Giant rugged mountains, golden rolling plains, and beautiful alpine lakes. We’re also famous for our winters.
