Lake Chilwa. Lake Chilwa is the second-largest lake in Malawi after Lake Malawi. It is in eastern Zomba District, near the border with Mozambique. Approximately 60 km long and 40 km wide, the lake is surrounded by extensive wetlands. There is a large island in the middle of the lake called Chisi Island.

There is Ndirande, Chiradzulu, Soche and Michiru mountains. All that was left was to choose which one to go to. Michiru Mountain came up first because I remembered reading so much about its beautiful views of Blantyre city from the summit and variety of bird life. I decided to try it out.
