Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a natural respite within our suburban city. It is a special place left largely undisturbed where visitors can have the pleasure of being surrounded by nature and experiencing animals, plants and ecoregions found in North Central Texas.
Bachman Lake is a 205-acre city lake, located in northwest Dallas on the north side of Love Field Airport. Featured amenities include a 5k hike and bike trail (3.08 miles), picnic areas, a pavilion, boating, Bachman Recreation Center and indoor aquatic center.
Cedar Hill State Park is 20 miles from downtown Dallas and 30 miles from downtown Fort Worth. The Metroplex offers sports, museums, music, restaurants, an amusement park, gardens, and much, much more. You will find restaurants and shopping just five miles from the park.
The City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department contracts with the Dallas Audubon Society to manage the day-to-day operations of the Cedar Ridge Preserve. At an elevation of 755 feet, Cedar Ridge Preserve (formerly the Dallas Nature Center) is a slice of the hill country just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas.

Joe Pool Lake is a fresh water impoundment located in the southern part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in North Texas. The lake encompasses parts of Tarrant, Dallas and Ellis counties. The lake measures 7,740 acres (31.3 km 2) with a conservation storage capacity of 176,900 acre feet (218,200,000 m 3).

Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast is a steel, launched, shuttle roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas and Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, Missouri. The two rides, mirror images of each other, are based on the famous Batman villain Mr. Freeze, and were originally based on the 1997 film Batman & Robin. Both versions use linear induction motor launch systems to accelerate riders from 0–70 mph in 3.8 seconds.
