Welcome to Damoh . Damoh is a district of Madhya Pradesh State located in Central India. The district is part of Sagar Division. It is situated in the north-eastern part of the State and geographically located at 23 deg 09’ north latitude and 79 deg 03’ east longitude.
Jabalpur is the administrative headquarters of Jabalpur district (the second-most-populous district in Madhya Pradesh) and the Jabalpur division. Historically, a center of the Kalachuri and Rajgond dynasties, the city developed a syncretic culture influenced by intermittent Mughal and Maratha rule.
The site of the battle was a narrow mountain pass at Haldighati near Gogunda in Rajasthan. Maharana Pratap fielded a force of around 3,000 cavalry and 400 Bhil archers.
