The Aerial Lift Bridge (earlier known as the Aerial Bridge or Aerial Ferry Bridge) is a landmark in the port city of Duluth, Minnesota. The span began life in 1905 as the United States' first transporter bridge. (Only one other was ever constructed in the country, Sky Ride in Chicago).
For Bob Dylan diehard fans and completists, the plain duplex house on North Third Avenue is a necessary stop. Dylan, aka Robert Zimmerman, was born in Duluth in 1941, and his parents lived on the second floor here. By age six, Bob's family moved to Hibbing, the more famous of the Dylan heritage sites.

Jay Cooke State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, protecting the lower reaches of the St. Louis River. The park is located about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Duluth and is one of the ten most visited state parks in Minnesota. The western half of the park contains part of a rocky, 13-mile (21 km) gorge.

History comes alive on the Lakefront line of the North Shore Scenic Railroad! During our summer season several trains a day depart the historic Duluth Union Depot for a trip through downtown Duluth, Canal Park, along the shore of Lake Superior and deep into the majestic north woods.
Bayfront Festival Park is home to Duluth’s largest playground, Playfront Park. The playground was initially built in 1989 as a community project led by the Junior League of Duluth. When the playground structure was in need of replacement, the Junior League raised nearly $250,000 for new equipment.
In 1972, after sailing under three names and being refitted twice, the Meteor returned to Superior and is now permanently land-berthed on Barker’s Island.
