Edinburg’s coolest park addition! Hours of operation for the splash pad are 9am-8pm. Stop by and cool off at Freddy Gonzalez Memorial Park located at the corner of Freddy Gonzalez Dr. and Veterans Blvd. This 9-acre park was dedicated in memory of a local Vietnam War hero on October 8, 1997.
Located at 3516 E. FM 2812 in Edinburg (2½ miles east of US 281), the park welcomes over 200 people on an average day. The 20 acre gated park offers a 60x100 pavilion, 6 basketball courts, restrooms, walking trail, 2 soccer fields, 1 baseball field, 2 volleyball courts, 5 play stations, 2 swing sets, 7 BBQ pits w/ shelters and 4 sitting shelters w/benches.
Lopezville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hidalgo County, Texas. The population was 4,333 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town developed during the early 1960s as a trailer park.
