Centennial Park, surrounded by Eglinton, Renforth, and Rathburn, is the mecca for outdoor fun and is also home to one of only two disc golf courses in the GTA. In the sport of disc golf, you use a frisbee or “flying disc” instead of clubs and golf balls and attempt to get it in the mesh “hole” in as few throws as possible.
The skateboard park, or skatepark, is a site to behold. The park is located at the corner of Eighth and Birmingham Streets in Etobicoke and features a street area, handrails, quarter pipe, ledges, stairs, and a bowl which resembles a swimming pool that is empty.
One area perfect for such an exercise, and one that most Etobicoke residents don’t even know about, is the Village of Murals. Toronto’s Village of Murals is conveniently located along five blocks of Dundas (between Kipling and Islington) in the center of the Village of Islington.
