Benifuji no Yu Onsen is a hot spring bath at Mt. Fuji s Lake Yamanaka. Picturesque views of red Fuji ( aka fuji ) can be seen from the outdoor baths in winter and in autumn impressive illuminations of the autumn foliage attracts visitors to the natural hot spring.

Kitaguchi Hongū Fuji Sengen Jinja, a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami of Mount Fuji, the Kitaguchi Hongū Fuji Sengen Jinja is the historical starting point for pilgrims climbing the mountain. The main structure was originally built in 788 and underwent reconstruction in the 17th century.

Mt. Fuji Subaru Line fifth station is in southeastern Yamanashi Prefecture near the border with Shizuoka Prefecture and can be accessed by bus, car or taxi. Take an express train from JR Shinjuku Station to JR Otsuki Station on the JR Chuo Line (about an hour), then change to the Fuji Kyuko Line for Mt. Fuji Station (Fujisan Station) or Kawaguchiko Station.
