Construction has begun on Barber Park Phase II, which will include a 7,600 square foot community building that will house a Memorial to the Women of Greensboro and meeting space. The $3 million construction project was funded in part by an $865,000 donation from the estate of Ruth Wicker to build the memorial.

The Old Mill is a replica of what a farmer of that era, like David Caldwell, would have used to mill grain. It is open during normal park hours. Volunteers Needed Caldwell Historic Park needs volunteers to assist at the Historical Center and working on the grounds of the park.
Elsewhere is a museum that is open to the public. It provides a unique cultural anchor for downtown Greensboro and is a destination for local and global visitors. The museum presents a changing, interactive environment of artworks, objects, and events that inspire new ways to look at and re-purpose recent cultural surplus.

Greensboro Beautiful and the City of Greensboro have invested over $5.6 million in Gateway Gardens.
Greensboro Beautiful volunteer and Arboretum visionary, Irene McIver, proposed that special care be given to construct a landscape display garden which would utilize the natural topography of the site, which ranges from steep, almost cliff-like slopes to flat, meadow-like plains.

Keeley Park is now part of the North Carolina Community Fishing Program. As a participant of this program, catchable-sized channel catfish are stocked in the ponds April through September. The Community Fishing Program allows for catching and keeping up to six catfish per day.
The F. Richardson Preyer Federal Building and Courthouse in Greensboro, North Carolina is significant as a since representation of the Art Deco style; as a structure built as a direct result of the Public Building Act of 1926; and as a symbol of the Federal presence in Greensboro.
Owl’s Roost Trail is designed for the enjoyment of mountain bike enthusiasts and hikers. The trail is considered very difficult and has a number of technical features. Cyclists should know their limits and ride only if they know what to expect. Cyclists are asked to yield trail right-of-way to hikers.

In 2006, Stanley & Doris Tanger made a significant financial commitment for ongoing support of Greensboro's public gardens, and the Greensboro Parks & Recreation Commission approved the re-naming of Bicentennial Garden to the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden.
This garden features an elevated boardwalk which meanders through 7 acres of natural wetlands. Stone pathways traverse a forested hillside, and visitors can enjoy the sounds of water at Serenity Falls - a re-circulating waterfall - while viewing the many varieties of plants, birds, and other wildlife inhabiting the area.
