A public swimming pool at the Park Ridge State School was opened by Premier Wayne Goss on 23 March 1991. It was jointly financed by Logan City Council and the school committee. The pool was open to the public outside of school hours. Park Ridge State High School opened in 1991. Two private schools have opened in Park Ridge recently.

Park vehicles on Quinzeh Creek Road 1 km South of Condamine Drive opposite a steel sliprail with Wickham Timber Reserve sign adjacent. Quinzeh Creek Road can be approached via Tamborine Waterford Road or Beenleigh Beaudesert Road. Note: Quinzeh Creek Road has two ends and doesn't join where it crosses Quinzeh Creek.
The dam is located approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) north-west of Beaudesert. The Wyaralong Dam was completed prior to the 2010–2011 Queensland floods. On January 11, during the flood period, the Mayors of both Logan City and Scenic Rim said they believed that Logan had been spared a great deal of flood damage because of the dam.
