Plaque Text. In 1805-06 Abraham Stouffer (1780-1851), a Pennsylvania Mennonite, acquired 160 ha of land in this area. This is a rather old park so the playgrounds are not the "new and hip" ones with the rubberized surfaces - it's still built on good ol' sand. On weekends and weekday evenings, you can also use the public school's basketball nets/funnel balls or play hopscotch/four square with your kids.
