The Acadian Memorial is the first of several international sites to erect a replica of the Grand-Pré Deportation Cross. The original Deportation Cross, near the Grand-Pré National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, marks the site of embarkation of over 2,000 Acadian farmers and tradesmen and their families in 1755.

MONCTON – A popular Moncton amusement park is slated to close Sept. 1. Commercial real estate company Cadillac Fairview announced it will close Crystal Palace to make way for a new Bass Pro Shop. The outdoor retailers will open a 110,000 square-foot store at Champlain Place in 2015, its first location in Atlantic Canada.
