Channel View Park is a small park at the south end of Hollywood Beach in Oxnard, CA. The park and the beach are on the north side of the entrance to Channel Islands Harbor. The beach adjacent to the harbor entrance near the park has volleyball nets set up and lots of sand to lay out on.
Camping at Emma Wood State Beach is reservation only from mid-May through Labor Day. There is a one night only enroute camping at Ventura River Group Camp 2 miles South on Main Street in Ventura. During the off season, camping is on a first come first serve basis.

Although this beach is protected from ocean waves, it can still be dangerous to swim at during periods of high bacterial levels – typically after storms due to runoff.
La Jenelle Beach is located at the south end of Silver Strand Beach in the city of Oxnard. The name comes from a ship called the “La Jenelle” that sank in 1970 at the entrance to the Port Hueneme Harbor. The hull of the former luxury cruise liner was filled with rocks to create the breakwater near the park.

The museum building was previously owned by legendary newspaperman Otis Chandler, who once housed a collection of vintage automobiles and motorcycles in what is now the revamped museum structure. After Mr. Chandler’s death in 2006, Mr. Mullin acquired the property, then called “The Vintage,” and began an extensive remodel utilizing the talents of architect David Hertz and contractor Interscape Construction.
