Farmdale Reservoir Farmdale Reservoir is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, and they have allowed the creation of a very nice system of trails. There are approximately 15 miles of trails here, with an excellent mix of fast open stretches and tight, twisty singletrack, with many fun gravity dips and ravines.
Fon du Lac Farm Park offers children a unique glimpse of what 1920’s farm life was like on a Central Illinois farm. Opened in 1981 the Farm Park has become a treasured destination for families with young children. Enclosed within six acres of Neumann Park, this facility offers a variety of activities that let visitors experience a day on the farm.

PEORIA — For the greater part of nine years, sculptor Preston Jackson was swimming upstream in his effort to create a public statue of Peoria’s most famous comedian, Richard Pryor. On Friday the larger-than-life statue will finally be erected in the Warehouse District at the corner of Washington and State Streets.
Narrow, informal paths lace the site, along with a substantial segment of the better-developed Illinois River Bluff Trail. For the ecologically-oriented visitor, the most intriguing component of Robinson Park is its 151-acre nature preserve, which consists of glacial drift hill prairies, and oak woodlands along the ridges and valleys.
The Rock Island Trail State Park stretches from Alta to Toulon, encountering Dunlap, Princeville and Wyoming along the way. The park office located in Wyoming can be reached from I-80 and I-74. If traveling I-80, approximately 12 miles west of Princeton, take Rt 40 south.
