Bicentennial Park was constructed in 1976 and was sponsored by the Rotary Club. It has a duck pond with a natural spring and wetlands area with a lovely boardwalk. Bicentennial Park is also a favorite for disc golfers, sporting a seven hole disc golf course.

If you haven’t seen any goats yet, look up on the hills surrounding the bowl. I probably saw 25 or more. A short steady climb, maybe a half mile will lead you to Emerald Lake. This is nearly 6 miles into the hike. There is a small lake that flows from the “glacier” (thus the green water). Some people were using water purifiers here.
