With the recent snowfall in the county (a tiny sprinkling in Leamington) it reminded me of snow days and skating on the iced Welches Meadow off Willes Road in Leamington. The meadow is cared for by Warwick District Council and the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and it is believed to have been created as a flood defence in the 1840s.
