TOMS RIVER – A bayfront park in Ortley Beach that was badly damaged by superstorm Sandy has reopened with upgraded lighting, sidewalks and bathrooms. Bayside Park, located on Bay Boulevard in Ortley, was torn up when Sandy’s surge flooded the area. Basketball courts were undermined, the shoreline was eroded and lighting fixtures were toppled.
