The Cotton Belt Depot was opened to the public in 1905 and continued service until the last passenger train, #8, departed in April 1956. In 1988 the Southern Pacific deeded the depot to the City of Tyler. The City restored the depot to her orginal beauty in 2003.
PARK HISTORY Faulkner Park opened to the public on April 18, 2001. The park is named after Mr. Robert Faulkner who donated land for the development of the park. FAULKNER TENNIS COMPLEX The Faulkner Tennis Compex (FTC) is a municipal tennis center open to the general public.

Noble E. Young Skate Park was dedicated by the Tyler City Council and Tyler Parks & Recreation Board on October 24, 1998. Since its opening the skate park has been one of Tyler's most popular parks. The park is a favorite place for local skaters, as well as skaters from across the East Texas region and the state.
Pollard Park is located at the intersection of New Copeland Road and East Amherst Street, near Andy Woods Elementary School. The park features picnic areas, pavilion, restrooms, playground, tennis courts, soccer and football fields.
