The museum is located in Santa Cruz Acalpixcan, which in Nahuatl means “where canoes are cared.” It is one of the few aquatic places left in Lake Xochimilco. Es uno de los embarcaderos que conforman la red de canales de Xochimilco. Ahí se rentan trajineras para recorrer lo que queda del lago. Se pueden comprar antojitos y bebidas, solicitar canciones a los mariachis, tríos y marimbas.
