Generally, your pets are allowed outside your vehicle only in paved parking lots and some campgrounds. The trails are usually off limits. But things are different at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. read more

First, pets are not permitted in any of the park’s lodges; cats and dogs (on leash or crated) are permitted in Trailer Village, Mather Campground, and NPS Desert View Campground. Additionally, pets are not allowed below the rim or on any of the park buses. read more
