The domesticated dog is certainly the of the same species as wolves, but the African Painted Dog and the Dingo are separate from the wolves. The Dingo discovery was fairly recent and was paralleled by a study that shows the Australian Aborigine may very well be unrelated to other humans as unlike the supposition they migrated from the South Pacific islands, they may very well have evolved on their own. read more
