Take a really close look at the "disgusting nasty dirt" in the canister that first time you vacuum with a Dyson and you'll notice it's 99% carpet fibers that were ripped out of the carpet mat. FWIW I had a DC07 and let me roommate have it. I ended up with a Eureka Boss bagged vacuum and I prefer it cost aside. read more
