Rhinos and hippos are members of the same class, Mammalia; but so are we. The next rung down on the classification ladder is Order. Rhinos are odd-toed ungulates, order Perissodactyla, they are related to horses. Hippos are even-toed ungulates, order Cetartiodactyla, and they are most closely related to whales. read more
