According to Jewish history, yes, I suppose you could say that. Abraham was born in Babylon, so I guess by definition he was a Sumerian. There were probably different ethnic groups in Babylon, though, so I think you could only say this from the standpoint of his nationality. read more
Kurds do not stand like Sumerians, who were more individual and legal citizenship based while the Kurds are still mostly tribe and clan based with less individualism in favour of the clan. Having said that, everybody is a descendant of the Sumerians in the Middle East, including the Kurds. read more
