The Guiness Book of World Records has two outrageous records of a 36 foot great white caught in the 1800’s off of Australia and a 37 foot shark caught near Canada. These are considered unconfirmed recordings. The most reliably measured great white shark was in 1987, it was 19.5 feet caught in Australia. read more
