I'm not sure how ferociousness would be measured, so I'm not sure the question can have a very clear answer, but if the measure of ferociousness is the danger to humans or the type of prey that they hunt, lions (Panthera leo) are definitively more ferocious than sea lions, who mostly eat fish, not water buffaloes for example, and there are no known cases of man-eaters among sea lions. read more
