Are the Black Panthers and Nation of Islam hate groups?

The Nation of Islam has expressed blatantly homophobic and anti-Semitic views, and the “New Black Panther Party” is closely related to the Nation of Islam and has espoused similar views. The original Black Panther Party for Self Defense (whose members have disavowed the NBPP) on the other hand were not at all a hate group, but a movement that fought for freedom and equality for the black and poor people of the US. read more
