In a 2011 survey of Sweden, about 34,000 people were classed as homeless, with about 4,500 being classed as “acute” homeless, living on the streets or in shelters. Overall homelessness had increased since 2005, but fewer people were sleeping rough, when compared to 2005. read more

In Sweden the official figure given by the National Board of Health and Welfare includes lots of people who don’t have a permanent home but aren’t living in shelters or on the streets. read more
