I grew up in Houston, so am quite familiar with it's “charms” of heat and humidity and the occasional hurricane and flash flood. And the roaches. Of course, growing up there, I really didn't mind. Actually, according do the following source, Houston is only the 9th most humid city in the United States, and Lake Charles is the 5th. Brownsville, Victoria, Corpus Christi, and Port Arthur (all cities in Texas) are all more humid than Houston. Quillayute, Washington, was listed as the most humid city in the United States. read more

Texas is fairly humid throughout the state. However, humidity is more concentrated as you progress towards the gulf.
