Yeah, if you visit the tiny towns off of the highways there are lots of rednecks. I had an interesting experience driving through Burks Falls, ON - a small town just south of North Bay. Down in the city (Toronto) we have fewer rednecks, but there will always be uneducated, rude, really religious people living everywhere. read more

Its not all hunky dory in Canada like some Americans think it is. Regardless of whether you think rednecks is a good term or not or what you think of as a redneck, we definitely have a lot of people that have the general characteristics; There appear to be many more people living in urban areas than in rural areas. read more
