In my experience - no, veterinarians are no more likely to be vegetarians than any other member of the population. In fact I know a lot of veterinarians who hunt. Although I can see the apparent contradiction, in my experience, veterinary medicine is often about practicalities - respecting an owners decision as to whether to treat a pet or euthanize for example. read more
Whether you are a vegetarian or a non vegetarian does not affect our inability to measure. If you have no illness, we have no scientific method to measure who is healthier. When we do develop a scale, I expect we will learn that 'it depends on things that are independent of the vegetarian/non-vegetarian status'. read more
