Processes like volcanoes, earthquakes, plate tectonics (aka continental drift) are indeed powered by nuclear energy, not by nuclear fission as in nuclear reactors but by the slow radioactive decay of zillions of tons of uranium, thorium, and potassium 40 in the earth. read more
