As a pharmacist, which is better to work at, Walgreens or CVS?

All retail pharmacist jobs are hell, unless you can find a mom & pop shop. Customers treat you like they are at a fast food restaurant. The pay is good, but not worth it. I switched to hospital after a year, then oncology a few years later. read more

It’s a process. So if you want quality of life, go to an independent or Costco. If you want more money and a fast paced, kick your ass, need alcohol after shifts, you can’t go wrong with either. Also, I have heard that if you work at a Walgreens you can work at any retail pharmacy. I have not heard the same about cvs. read more

I prefer working at CVS as a tech, but I feel like Walgreens was better if you're a pharmacist. CVS almost feels like slavery (for the pharmacists at least) sometimes. read more

But what's better than both CVS and walgreen's is Kroger. You rarely hear anything bad about kroger from both pharmacists and customers (or not nearly half as much as u would about CVS/Wags). At CVS, it's all about the numbers and the money, while at the same time you have little help. read more
