Having been to Maui a year ago, I must insist you go there. It is simply amazing and you will truly feel the Aloha spirit. We did spend a day on Oahu as Pearl Harbor is a must visit. Other parts we saw were just too much like Miami and similar areas. As others have said, each island is unique and distinctive. read more

Oahu has so much more to do but that is not to say that you'd get bored on Maui. We're staying on the North Shore during the summer so that we kind of get that Maui feeling of it being more laid back yet still can get to all the Oahu sites. read more
