It's possible for a drone to record audio, but it would need a hypercardioid pattern or tight polar pattern like a shotgun mic to avoid noise from the propellers. Even then, you'd probably have to get so close to the subject that any stealth would be nullified, and you'd still probably end up with a ton of motor noise. read more
