Can an IUD cause the vagina to smell?

I had the IUD put in a year ago, but have just developed the smell over the last 3 months. I had NEVER had any type of vaginal infection; however within the last year I have had one yeast infection and two cases of Bacterial infections. read more

An IUD should never be causing a weird smell, itching, redness, or other irritation. These are all signs of infection and should be checked out asap.
