Some fractured bones, for instance the clavicles, really can’t be stabilized with a cast. And some fractures are so subtle that they don’t actually result in a change in the bones’ shape. But if possible, and if the bone has actually been misaligned and then realigned, it’s usually desirable to use a cast. read more
