Can dogs eat vienna sausage?

Best Answers

Not advisable. Vienna sausages are really high in salt, and too much salt (what we consider to make the food taste good) can actually poison a dog. Their kidneys can shut down and they die a very painful death. I was at the vets office not too long ago where a dogs owner fed it bacon, and the dog ended up dying from it. I think it was a Pomeranian or something small like that. But dont let size fool you, a big dog can have the same thing happen. read more

Most cheeses (particularly many processed Cheddar) is very high fat so that may be where the idea comes from. read more
