Can food coloring be used with aquarium fish?

Do not try this in a tank with fish! This video was meant to show dead spots in a fish tank and demonstrate the overflow rate of some filters, but the first filter was way too powerful (Marineland Penguin 200 on a 5.5-gallon tank) and the food coloring dispersed too fast, even when I used the TopFin Power Filter 10. read more
