Yes. Tap water is drinkable in Panama City. Some people I know say “it's because the Americans built the acueducts.” I don't know if that's true, but anyway, it's drinkable in Panama city. If you go to the interior (far outside the city) tap water may not be potable. read more
Yes, it is safe to drink the water in Panama. We live in Panama City and the water here comes from the Gatun Lake and the Chagres River. We drink water right out of the tap just like anyone else. read more
