Can I eat chicken salad during my pregnancy?

There is a local deli near my house that makes homemade chicken salad. We eat it all the time especially for holidays. Just picked some up for the 4th and was told by a friend that apparently I'm not supposed to eat it while pregnant? Is that a thing? read more

Homemade chicken salad is fine. Whereas you are not supposed to eat prepared chicken salad from stores or restaurants, because it may have been sitting out a while or contacted delimeat surfaces and could have contamination with Listeria. read more
