Well, you can spot one, but that's pretty unlikely. You see that red line titled 'arctic circle'? During winter anything above that gets pretty much no sunlight. The more you go down the more sunlight you get in your day. read more

Above that circle you get midnight sun and the more you go down the more “night” you get. Granted, the nights are darker than day all around Finland even at the tip of Finland. But you still have more daylight than night. read more

I have actually seen the aurora borealis in August, by which time it gets pretty dark in northern Central Finland. But this is rare and unpredictable. I'd call it summer because it was warm, but autumn was on the way for sure. read more
