Limestone based products are used in soil stabilization, which is particularly useful when the subgrade conditions are poor, when constructing a road. And the cement used in the concrete (PQC - Pavement Quality Concrete) also has limestone, used as a raw material in it's manufacturing process. So, using limestone directly in laying of roads, isn't really prudent. But hey, there's always scope for research, especially in case of it's use in low volume rural roads. read more
