He said she could barely walk, was getting steriod shots every day and was having seizures. then just out of the blue it just went away. Ive never heard of this. I assumed that maybe it can go into remission and Im guessing maybe that is what happened here and that it didnt just go away. read more
Finally, I think that diagnosed MS can in fact seem to disappear. I know that many of my initial symptoms vanished and have never reappeared. I don't know if it is the medication, less stress or what. read more

First, yes, lesions can disappear form the MRI in MS, and it happens all the time. I describe how it occurs in the first Health Page,"How MRIs Show Lesions in MS." In brief, a lesion (a T2 hyperintense white matter lesion) first demyelinates and shows up on the MRI for as long as it is in the damaged state. read more
