But when you ask about a negative number, it is natural to apply the definition to that domain: an even integer is one that can be expressed as the product of 2 with some integer (not only a positive integer). read more

Positive and Negative integers fall under odd or even consideration. I should add 0 is non positive and non negative and it is even. read more
