As you can see from the other answers, you can certainly die from it. Prior to about 1980, Sleep apnea was mostly unrecognised. One can (and many have) surmise that a significant number of “heart attack” or “no cause” deaths while sleeping were in fact a result of sleep apnea. Thanks for the ask. read more
