Mutants in Marvel is a tricky thing because there is a “mutant” race. Humans who are born with the “X-Gene”. However, in the comics the term “mutant” is also frequently used to describe anyone of any race who happens to be different from the norm. read more

I think the marvel universe would only have a stronger skepticism towards mutants and superheroes if Superman was in the marvel universe. The entire premise behind Civil War is that mutants and super people have too much power and are a danger to the common people, weather they mean to be or not. read more
