There is little to no chance of a Sitka spruce surviving the high, dry and cold conditions of Montana. You shouldn’t have any problem at all with the Douglas Fir as it is native to Montana and the European Oak might survive depending on where in western Montana you are thinking of “planting your forest”. read more
