Dogs are capable of detecting LSD, or of detecting various chemical impurities from the LSD manufacturing process (since LSD's active dose is so small, it is sometimes easier to detect chemical byproducts and impurities than LSD itself, they're in higher concentration). read more

There is a dog near here used by Department of Fisheries that can detect the smell of female lobsters with eggs (a female with eggs MUST be thrown back, due to the declining fishery. Huge fine to possess one). Tobacco and marijuana have a different smell when burned. The dog would be trained to detect it in the unburned form. read more
